Smart battery

Power Systems batteries. The system continually monitors the INTERNAL battery
condition, it calculates the cycle life of each battery, and communicates the
batteries health locally or remotely. During an event the BMMCS will give the
NOC a fault notice and give the maintenance and service provider the number of
hours of backup power available at the current draw on the backup system. The
system is designed to give telecommunication providers information that enables
the provider to manage the power failure without dispatching a service truck
with a backup generator unless the outage is of a duration that requires
additional power.
