The CN 2000 is a small,
user-friendly, and highly flexible storage and LAN extension platform
for the evolving data center connectivity needs of today's enterprises.
The platform uses hardware compression and Dynamic Bandwidth Assignment
to condense virtually all enterprise network traffic onto a single WAN
that is optimized for the critical performance requirements of business
continuance,
disaster
recovery and other vital applications. With this simplified WAN, you'll
be able to extend your data across the entire enterprise up to thousands
of miles—dramatically increasing bandwidth while cutting recurring costs
by up to 70 percent. Qualified by all major storage vendors, the CN 2000
truly goes the distance.
The CN 2000 allows a variety of applications, such as Storage Area
Networking (SAN), Disk Mirroring, Remote Backup, Mainframe, LAN,
Clustering, and Network Attached Storage (NAS) to share a single Wide
Area Network (WAN) connection, simplifying network design and
dramatically increasing bandwidth efficiency. Supporting WAN interfaces
from DS3 through OC-48/STM-16 and GbE, the CN 2000 meets the most
demanding enterprise requirements with the ability to scale as an
enterprise's requirements change.

Ciena’s CNX-5 is one of the most
widely deployed SLC-5 based DSL systems in North America serving
millions of customers. We’ve taken this proven technology and creating a
modular stand-alone system with the same functionality called the
CNX-5Plus.
The CNX-5Plus is a compact, modular BLC that enables carriers
to
selectively add broadband services to the installed base of narrowband digital
loop carriers. The CNX-5Plus provides a simple and inexpensive means to expand
DSL footprint and extend the capabilities and life cycle of older DLC equipment.
It is a compact, low start-up cost option for adding broadband ADSL2+ services
to remote terminal sites without the need for costly external cabinets and
equipment. The system is easy to install in legacy cabinets (SLC-96, FDLC,
DISC*s, DMS Urban and others).

CN 4200 Flex Select Advanced Services Platform.
The CN 4200™ FlexSelect™ Advanced Services Platform is a new generation
multiservice transport and Aggregation platform capable of supporting any
transport protocol including Time Division Multiplexing (TDM), Ethernet, storage
or video on any available port, even when on the same line card. This system
delivers the ultimate in flexibility to your customer to remotely
software program any service out of any port on the chassis. Provides investment
protection while enabling new services that generate added revenue NOW!
Using ITU G.709 standards-based technology (also known as Digital Wrapper) the CN 4200 grooms multiple optical services running on any port, onto higher-speed
wavelengths. These higher-speed wavelengths, OTU1 (2.7 Gb/s) or OTU2 (10.7 Gb/s)
signals, carry any mix of individual services up to 10 Gb/s. Standards-based
protocols supported include: 10/100/1000 Ethernet, 10 Gb/s Ethernet,
OC-3/12/48/192 or STM1/4/16/64, FC/FICON®, ESCON®, OTU1, OTU2.
